Immediately after the end of the Chinese Happy New Year Festival, the Politecnico di Torino sent a series of teachers and collaborators to run three different workshops in collaboration with respective Chinese Universities. A big number of Italian students from Polito side are engaged in those activities exploring several architectural projects and research themes that goes from the technological innovation in construction industry to large scale urban redevelopment within the Chinese city. All the students involved are excited from the challenges that working on a similar context can offer and they are moreover strongly motivated by the interdisciplinary and international environment.
Dezhou, Shandong Province – China, January 12th-15th
The second Technical Training Workshop of Solar Decathlon China 2017 has been hosted in mid-January in Dezhou, Shandong Province, the city where the twenty-two international teams involved in the competition will finally build their solar houses, and where the exhibition and the contest will take place.
Automotive Day First Edition is curated by School of Automotive Engineering of South China University of Technology and Politecnico di Torino through South China Torino Collaboration Lab. The event is promoted by the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou with the support of China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. Automotive Day offers a new platform for bi-directional exchange and provides opportuni- ties for cooperation between Industry and University, Companies and Research come from Italy and China.
In December 2010, the photo essay by Luca Casonato “Persistence & Transition” was exhibited at the South China University of Technology. The photo research started in 2009 as a result of the shared interest of Luca Casonato and Francesca Frassoldati for environments and landscapes in transition in the Cantonese Delta.
