Since 2009, Politecnico di Torino and South China University of Technology share a fruitful collaboration both in the fields of research and education.

The two universities have been partners in the Italian PRIN (Program of Relevant National Interest) research Re-Cycle Italy, working together to different initiatives, like the “Watersheds” exhibition, at the Shenzhen Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture (with IUAV and Chinese University of Hong Kong) and the “Roma 2025” exhibition, organized at the MAXXi Museum of Rome.

Such academic collaboration, strengthened by a custom of common work, provided to the Lab experience and competence about South China context, making it an important platform of cultural exchange, useful to support other realities interested to establish new activities in South China.

In this context, for example, the École Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne has taken advantage to the support of the Lab for some research activities.

Thanks to the formal launch of the Lab, Politecnico di Torino and South China University of Technology also established some important agreements that enhanced the relationship between the two institutions.

Up until now, the two Universities have established a Double Degree Bachelor program (2009), an agreement for Automotive students exchange (2015) and a Double Degree Ph.D. program (2016).
